Niros Jaipur, The 70 Year Old Restaurant That Even Celebrities Rave About

We don’t need any reason to visit Jaipur. It is that one city that is full of history, culture and showcases the beauty of the time bygone. Every direction you look and you see something that will give you a glimpse of our rich history. One such place that has stood the test of time is Niros in Jaipur.

The 70 years old restaurant is as iconic as any other fort or palace of the city and has been serving people with great care. It was started on August 01, 1949 and was the first multi cuisine restaurant of Jaipur. Now, Niros has been added to the list of ‘India’s 75 most Iconic Restaurants of the country’.

It was started by Lt. Shri Ved Pardal who visited the vegetable market every morning and procured fresh vegetables and meat and then came back to the restaurant to work till late night and come up with the most wonderful delicacies for his customers. With perseverance to make a place for non vegetarian food in a market where people had an inclination towards vegetarian only, the restaurateur didn’t leave any stone unturned. The result of which is visible in the success and monopoly that Niros has in Jaipur when it comes to non-vegetarian food.

The restaurant got so successful that apart from locals and tourists visiting it, there were celebrities who made sure to dine in here whenever they were in Jaipur. Some of the celebrities who have dined here are maharani Gayatri Devi, Farroq Abdullah, Prakash Padukone, Lt. Shri Rajeev Gandhi, Ranveer Singh, Naomi Campbell, Rajesh Khanna, Shobha Dey and the list goes on.

Clearly, there is no match to Niros when it comes to popularity and there is no other place that serves non-vegetarian as good as them in the Pink City.

Today the restaurant is being run by sons of Shri Ved Pardal – Mr. Vinay Pardal who looks after the management and Mr.Rajnish Pardal who himself is an outstanding cook and a food columnist and has created many indigenous recipes that are now a part of Neros menu.

Dining in Neros is a one of a kind experience that one must have whenever in the city. The interiors are lit with soft lighting ad walls adorned with beautiful paintings by none other than Satish Gujral. Whenever here you must try anything from their non-vegetarian section along with Pindi Chana, Paneer butter masala, their very famous Niros special faluda kulfi and caramel custard which will make you go weak in your knees.
