The twin hill stations of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khandala are among the best places to visit during monsoon. Their terrific mountainous views shimmering lakes and historic caves and forts, are sufficient to leave you awestruck.
A characteristic heaven of migrating birds, Kamshet is among the few places to visit close to Pune during monsoon. Found only a short while far from the city, the locale is ideal for a reviving day trip.
Trek across forests and glorious forts like Koraigadh and Dhangad, visit the ancient Vanja Mata temple and enjoy the panoramic views of waterfalls, lovely valleys etc. Mulshi is just 2 hours away from the main city and hence the rains will still have effect!
While a lot of people are cursing the city and weather, least do they realize that there’s nothing that can be done about it. Rains such as these is not a blessing for all parts of India and so it becomes an absolute necessity to seize the day and make the best of monsoons this year!
