Whether you’re planning a family meal or just catching up with friends over a fun evening, Mystery of Spice in Sector 104, Noida, is the place for you. Recently launched, this casual dining restaurant offers a multi cuisine choice of delicacies, including North Indian, Italian, Continental and Chinese cuisines. If you like something refreshing their Mocktail range guarantees to deliver all the flavours that you’d like to savour.
Chic, spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished, the restaurant has several entertainment options available, including a live sports screenings and a separate party hall. The interiors are eclectic and different walls have different themes, with a hand painted wall behind the bar, a picture gallery and even a cycle, propped on a wall.
We began our meal with a delicious Virgin Pan Gulkand Mojito, a refreshing concoction with flavours of paan, gulkand, topped with sparkling water and Strawberry Basil Breezer, a lovely blend of fresh strawberry chunk, thai basil Leaf and fresh lime juice with sparkling water. Both the Mocktails tasted heavenly and were perfect for the summer. For those who love their soups, the mushroom soup (creme de chempegnon), is a must try.
For appetizers, we tried the golgappa platter, with 6 flavours of golgappa water, some tangy and some sweet. All the flavours stood out, a must have for those who enjoy golgappas. We also tried the Dahi ke kebab, a popular North Indian starter made of hung curd having light spices and served with green coriander or mint chutney. It was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. While the menu is vast and we wanted to try a bit of everything, we decided on a Chinese starter, the quintessential Drums of heaven next. They were well done and the szechuan sauce made the chicken lollipops all that more succulent. We also sampled the Mushroom Toast combining the moist, subtle flavour of mushrooms with the tang of garlic on a crisp toast.
For main course we tried the Paneer Tikka khurchan sizzler, spicy paneer tikka served with roomali roti on a sizzling plate. For those who love their paneer , this one is a winner , served with a twist. A must try for the vegetarians. For the non-vegetarians, the Chicken Tikka Pizza, a cheesy pizza topped with delicious Indian chicken tikka masala is a treat. A perfect marriage between an Indian and an Italian recipe, bringing you unique and delicious flavours.
For those with a sweet tooth, they also offer some interesting dessert choices, including Double ka meetha, brownie sizzler and more.
The food is first class, not overly priced and accompanied by an excellent drinks menu. All in all it was a great meal in a cosy set up.
