Located in Logix City Centre Mall, Noida, I Sacked Newton is a newly opened English Traditional pub where guests can enjoy a variety of street food and grills in a relaxed ambience. Their menu boasts of multi-cuisine options with delicious Mediterranean, Italian, North Indian and Continental delicacies, and some new interpretations of the old favourites (they serve Butter chicken Maggi bowl!). For Sushi lovers, they have a Sushi section with a variety of vegetarian and non – vegetarian options.
While the name itself is unique, the interiors are quirky and fun. They also have a special VIP section seating for people coming with their families where they can enjoy a special section with their loved ones. For the selfie crazy millennial, there is a Snapachino Machine where in you click a selfie and the image comes on your favourite hot beverage!
The bar itself is a lovely part of the restaurant where one can enjoy a choice of beverages. Who wouldn’t enjoy a glass of chilled beer and here they serve unique concoctions of the same (read Beer-Rita , Asahi Beer!).
They have a very diverse menu, offering a variety of cuisines, so be prepared to be spoilt for choice. We started our meal with the Newton’s Fresh – their in-house special Mocktail. What makes this drink so special is that it packs in a lot more fun along with the fizz! The lovely flavours of mandarin, cranberry and lemon are refreshing and a perfect kick-start to the meal. I occasionally enjoy a good soup and the Creamy chicken and paprika soup was right up my palate, creamy with delicate flavours. We also ordered the Fattoush salad, a colourful tossed salad with lots of fresh herbs and pita chips for croutons. Covered in a zesty lime vinaigrette! It was delicious.
For appetizers, we ordered the Baked potato and Smoked chicken siu mai. The baked potato, had a crisp, golden skin, and was light and fluffy on the inside with a yum filling of potato mash, corn, oregano parsley, cheese , chickpeas and topped with aioli. Great comfort food! The open faced Smoked Chicken siu mai is a popular dimsum and they got it pat on. Served with an array of dips, the lovely smokey flavour was distinct and the medium spiced chicken wrapped open was dumplings were well cooked.
For the main course we tried the Brazilian Braised Lamb shank , served with roasted garlic potatoes. Rich and delicious, if you are a lamb lover, this dish comes highly recommended.
The Sushi bar is a must order with options ranging from the healthy Veggie Quino and California vegetables and avaocado for the vegetarians to the Poached chicken and cucumber and Sweet shrimp, bean shreds, spring onion and chilli for those who enjoy Asian flavours in non-vegetarian options.
For desserts the chef recommended the home made pan flavoured ice cream and the Hot caramalized carrot mould, a superb version of the gajar ka halwa. Both the desserts were a class apart and so worth the calories. Loved them!
A special mention of Chef Ceicil who went out of his way to help us make our selections. Will definitely head back here soon again.
