Britannia & Company Restaurant

Opened in the 19th-century, Britannia and Co Restaurant is one of the greatest Parsi restaurants in Mumbai. The restaurant has a distinctive setting. You will find painting of Queen Elizabeth II and portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, flags of India, UK and Iran one beneath the other and photographs of Mumbai city taken back in 19th century. The legendary dishes that are not to be missed here are Chicken Berry Pulav, Sali Boti, Mutton Dhansak and Caramel Custard. The 98 year old owner of this place is often seen here chatting with patrons; yes it is such a sweet gesture.

Cafe Irani Chaii

Cafe Irani Chaii is owned by filmmaker Mansoor Showghi Yezdi. To experience the authentic Irani cafe experience of yesteryear, this place has mirror panelled walls, checkered tablecloths, glass display of bakery items, friendly waiters and jars filled with kismi bars and phanton sweet cigarettes. Needless to say, one must try here Irani chai and bun muska. Other delectable dishes are Mutton Keema Pav, Chicken Irani, Mutton Samosa and Masala Omlette.

Yazdani Bakery & Restaurant

Located in the bylanes of the commercial Fort, Yazdani Bakery & Restaurant takes you back in time. Opened in 1953, all the products in the bakery are handmade and baked in diesel ovens. Yazdani is famous for their bun maska because their buns are super soft and full of butter. Another thing served here that is unique and delicious is fierce ginger biscuit. So if you are around the fort area, you can’t afford to miss this beauty.
