Manushi Chhillar, a Haryana girl, all of 20 years, brought back the crowning glory back to India, Friday night, after the title took a hiatus of 17 years from India, since Priyanka Chopra last won it for the country. Manushi, managed to edge out118 contestants from around the globe….manouvering her way to the crown against the top five from England, France, Kenya and Mexico, with elan and confidence. She was crowned by Stephanie Del Valle, last year’s Miss world from Peurto Rico.
Being the 6th ever Indian girl to win the titlw of Miss World, Manushi is a student of medicine and vying to be a cardiac surgeon….and has proved that A beauty queen is more than just a pretty face waiting for a bollywood movie to come her way….she is an individual,an independent, intelligent human being who by virtue of her knowledge has the strength to stand her own grounds.
