ITC Royal Bengal Hosted The Launch Of NRAI Kolkata Chapter.

NRAI is the National Restaurant Association of India, founded in1982, which is the voice of Indian restaurant industry. It apprised to promote and strengthen the Indian Food Service Sector and also represents the interests of 5,00,000+ restaurants. The association had four chapters already- Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, Bengaluru and now Kolkata is also added, making it five. Here is everything you need to know about the same:

Aim And Vision Of NRAI


Being the leading association of the Indian restaurant industry it aims to advocate changes in the laws governing the Indian Restaurant Industry at local, state and centre levels. It plays a major role in promoting skills and career opportunities for industry professionals through the Hospitality Sector Skill Council.

NRAI is governed by a committee of members and led by a president and office bearers. The committee consists of over 35 restaurant CEOs/Owners from national and international F&B sector brands. Their vision is to lead the Indian Restaurant Industry to greater profitable growth representing interests of members through advocacy, training, research and industry events.

The Launch


The launch took place in ITC Royal Bengal on July 2nd 2019, where many delegate speakers from the hospitality sector were invited to talk about NRAI. Dr. Amit Mitra, The Minister of Finance, Commerce and Industries, Govt. of West Bengal was the chief guest of the event. They have also launched the NRAI India Food Services Report 2019 along with the Kolkata Chapter. The report is released once every 3years and is the 4th edition the study to map trends, opportunities and challenges of India’s food service sector.

The launch went out great starting from the high tea with multiple pop-up brands serving out their specialities namely Wow Momo, GRID, Papaya, Parking Lot, Chai Break, and many more. Later, there was an arrangement of cocktails and dinner along with the performance of Wagah Road band. The event was a huge success and everything went out superbly.
