Happy Street is a biggest carnival that takes place in the heart of the city every year during winters on every Sunday. The event is full of multiple activities which indulge in complete fun and fitness. It is an initiative by Times of India in association with Kolkata Police to inspire everyone to make a change in the society by getting up early on a lazy Sunday and do various kinds of activities to be fit.
You get to enjoy your chilled Sunday mornings with full of fun and enthusiasm by doing various activities like Jogging, Cycling, Skating, Painting, Aerobics, Zumba, and many more. Happy Street also offers you to play outdoor games on the street of the heart of the city like Badminton, Basketball, Football, Street Soccer, Volley Ball, etc. You get to experience both eras of being trilled with Kick boxing to being calm with meditation in Happy Street.
Happy Street offers a lot of different kinds of activities for all age groups, so that you can come with your entire family and enjoy the biggest carnival of the year. Everyone visiting Happy Street would be glad to see the heart of the city being so lively on a Sunday with all the music, crowd, games, fun, activities, food, and much more. The complete road of Park Street gets blocked so cars and bikes cannot enter and it is necessary for you to walk and complete your morning walk tour.
If you are not much of an active person, there is still much more to look forward to at Happy Street like watching Cycling or Skateboard stunts on the streets. You can also just walk seeing the city being so lively by doing various kinds of activities in every corner of the heart of Kolkata. The visitors can also leave a message on a big board put on the main crossing of Park Street to take feedback from each individual.
