Back In Kochi For Mattancherry Palace

Its time to travel back to Kochi and for a glimpse of its heritage. Whenever we visit a city, it is important to know about its culture and heritage, and what better than the Mattancherry Palace. It was built and presented as a token of appreciation by the Portuguese to the Raja of Kochi, Verra Kerala Varma, in 1555. We can say its pretty old. Do visit this palace as it serves as an art gallery showcasing some of India’s best art murals and paintings, the star attractions being the murals depicting scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana and other Puranic legends in elaborate detail.

Bazaar Road is where you would see most of the shops in wholesale, commission or retail goods. It is over 2Kms long from Cochin to Mattancherry, Bazaar Road is famous for its reasonable, good quality spices and pulses.
