Ambience wise the place isn’t that great and is just about average. But the thing to look out for at this place is the delicious food. They have the traditional south Indian thali which is extremely reasonable. Some of the dishes to try out here are the natukodi iguru, bommidayala pulusu, mutton iguru and the ulavacharu biryani. I would suggest you opt for the take away or home delivery rather than dining in.

Ulavacharu:

 Ulavacharu hyderabad

One of the most popular restaurants in Hyderabad for south Indian cuisine, ulavacharu is undoubtedly the best when it comes to taste. The setting and ambience on the whole represents the telugu culture and tradition. The food reminds you of the by gone era, those good old days of grandma cooking some authentic delicacies for her loved ones. It also is very spicy on the palette front so be prepared if those kind of spice levels aren’t your cup of tea. A must try here is the Raju gari kodi pulav and royyala iguru.

Here’s a relief for all healthy food freaks and specifically organic food eaters! Jivati the latest entrant in town has some decent organic food to offer. I highly recommend this place for its deliciousness in providing authentic south indian cuisine.  Although the ambience may not be great, the food certainly speaks the opposite!

Located in ITC Kakatiya is a fine dining restaurant namely Dakshin which solely offers you traditional south Indian food. The ambience is visually appealing and has a sparkling vibe. This award winning restaurant (best south Indian) has amazing food mainly their thalis. Personally I like the banana leaf plating on brass plates which makes it more authentic and interesting! The staff is amicable and is always ready to help. Things to try out here are the chapa vepudu, tomato pappu, royyala masala and many more. You will surely not regret dining in this place.

Who doesn’t love this place, even though it’s ridiculously over priced and over hyped! And yet the hyderabadies love to visit this place especially for their breakfast fair. As the name suggests the chutneys are to die for and so are the soft idlis. Rawa dosa and pesarattu and the garlic dosa come a close second. Initially there used to be just one outlet at the panjagutta circle but now they have various branches all through the city.

Born and brought up in Hyderabad, i love the city for its simplicity and the historic value it carries. Studied my bachelors in Mass Communication and Masters in Journalism a while ago. Started food blogging in2013 gaining some positive feedback as cooking has always been my passion, it’s in the blood, all thanks to dad and grand mom. I cook with a lot of love and zeal and give it my 100%. I also lately came up with a Facebook page representing my blog as I wanted to spread the love of cooking and meet more people with the same passion. I live on cookery shows/recipes online and a day won't pass without trying out something in my kitchen! Apart from cooking, writing has always been an integral part of my daily life as i pen down my thoughts pretty often. It gives me a sense of satisfaction and helps me pass through a difficult phase quite smoothly leaving me burden free.
