The Green Relief

Image result for 7 km forest in gurgaon

Your wish is their command! After the bedlam against razing parts of the Aravallis for the bypass road, here is a respite that every Gurgaonite has been longing for….. A green stretch amidst the concrete jungle!

This 5.2 kilometre long stretch of forest is a jogger’s and walker’s oasis. Sprouting near Galleria Market, the forest meanders through Sectors 27, 28, 43, 52 and 53, ending at Sector 56. This breath of fresh air (literally) comes equipped with an 8 metre wide drain (from Chakkarpur Bund to Wazirabad) to ease the water logging woes during heavy rains.

Developed by IamGurgaon, this forest is a result of 30,000 native trees and shrubs been planted, now also inviting enough for migratory birds to flock here. The highlight of the stretch is it being wheelchair accessible and the tactile pavement for the visually impaired!

Need I say more? Savour the freshness! Get those morning walks regular!

World’s Largest Camera Museum

Get flashing the lenses! If you’re a camera junkie and a rookie for photography, this is where you could begin your classes! The world’s largest Camera Museum, ‘The Museo Camera- Centre Of Photography’, is about to see the light of day next month!

Owner of Vintage Camera Museum, Aditya Arya, in collaboration with Municipal Corporation of India, has come to the decision to create a prodigious hub for all photography freaks. The place is set to come up at Chakkarpur, with about 600-7– models of cameras, bought and donated!

The highlight of the place is the K-20 on display! This is the lens that captured the historical atom bomb dropping on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War 2! There are more such thrilling stories attached to the cameras and pictures on display!

Impossible to keep calm!

Added to your list…. I hope! While I put on my Sherlock shoes and scout for more…… you get down to enjoying these places!
