So, Gurgaon peeps, here i am with another newbie in G town, for you to let your hair down at. This latest entry to the party life of the city is Drunk Art. Situated in the nightlife hub of Gurgaon, Sector 29, the place, spread over two floors, grows on you. The concept behind the place is apparent as you enter, with posters and murals stating “Drink responsibly”. as explained to me by Aman Agarwal, sole owner, Drunk Art. Ah, so here’s one place that endorses drinking….the right way!
My tryst with Drunk Art happened on a warm May afternoon. All of 8 days old then, Drunk Art stood out amidst the rows of lounges, by it’s quirky hoarding. I entered into a dim lit space, spread with American old school furniture and interiors, and an open bar at the straight end. This football themed place, is sure to be a hit with the sports freaks! Resolutely advocating the act of drinking in a responsible manner, Aman, takes it further, by educating about the right quantity and content of concocting drinks. If you want to know the correct art of mixing drinks, quantity et al, check their Facebook page ……and paint the town red, right!
My welcome drink, concocted specially by Anil, bar manager at Drunk Art, called “Bartender’s Love”, a refreshing blend of coconut and cream was just what i needed to beat that afternoon heat. As i scoured through their bar menu, their freshly brewed beer collection, struck me. The only place in Gurgaon to churn out innovative flavours as American Blonde Ale and Green Apple Cider, Drunk Art gains brownie points. My choice?…Green Apple Cider.…light and breezy, done right for a novice beer drinker like me! The rest of the Bar mneu is just as diverse.
At the behest of chef Gopal Negi, I ordered Filo Wrap with Bell Pepper and Chicken Quesadillas, from their list of appetizers. The food menu is clearly multi-cuisine, from Italian must dos to popular Pan Asian dishes, they’ve got ’em all! The Filo Wrap, a vegetarian feast, crunchy on the outside and soft cheesy inside, served with tangy tomato sauce, was done right for a post lunch afternoon snack.
Chicken Quesadillas, were my favourite part of the meal. Just my kind of spicy, with enough salsa smeared chicken filling, to leave the taste lingering. The portions are generously created, and by that virtue, deserve a big thumbs up.
A conversation with Aman, filled me up with all the latest gigs lined up at Drunk Art through the week. Take a note down, people….this is where you’ll be spending your evenings!
Ladies Night- every Sundays
Karaoke Night- every Monday

The experience?….Humble…yet the place grows on you! Oh! and they’re open for lunch too!
