Till a couple of years ago, it was a struggle to find disabled-friendly restaurants in Delhi and other Indian cities. Not many places advertised themselves as disabled friendly and that was disheartening. Most disabled people in India did not visit restaurants very often and that severely restricted their social life. We know a lot of restaurants in the city can get a little tricky for our physically-disadvantaged friends, which is the reason celebrations sometimes don’t end up including everyone. Here’s a list of disabled friendly restaurants in Delhi with a wheelchair access feature.
Indian Accent has a full-fledged ramp for wheelchairs, and we wouldn’t expect any less from chef Manish Mehrotra’s restaurant. The seating is comfortable too. Full marks to the food and the thoughtfulness too.

Emporio, in general, is quite wheelchair-friendly. Once you’re done shopping from some of the best brands out there, a meal at SET’Z should be on your itinerary. There are several lifts to take you there. They have 12 expat chefs and are constantly evolving the menu across cuisines.

A thumbs up to this place! Although Cafe Lota sits on an elevation inside the Handicrafts Museum, but they’ve got a ramp to themselves. The rather quaint outdoor area, complete with coolers in the summer, and a fun regional menu makes for a great outing.
Where: National Crafts Museum, Gate No. 2, Bhairon Marg, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi
When you’re looking for great food and drinks, Soda Bottle Opener Wala won’t disappoint you. They have a sit out option too where you can enjoy the winter sun or the summer breeze. The ground floor of Cyber Hub is, in general, pretty wheelchair-accessible, and includes some great restaurants like Farzi Café, Wine Company etc.
